Swimming pools in the resort
There are in fact 3 pools we know of in the Naturiste Village.
One just behind and below the Calypso Restaurant near Johnny Wokkers
Bar.
Another in the Port Ambonne complex, and another, The Waikiki
Bar/Restaurant in Port Nature,(The Melrose Cafe end).
Each you have to hire a sunbed, about 10 euros a day I think, which
is usually reduced after 3pm.
Each has a bar/ Restaurant serving all day. The Waikiki cocktails are rather attractive normally.
Visitor Review: On a shopping trip to Port Ambonne we noticed a sign outside of the pool stating swimming FREE when you buy a drink, and indeed it was, we did however get caught out when we went and sat on a sun lounger to enjoy our drink and dry off in the warmth....you need to rent a sun lounger at a cost of 6 euro, this was well worth it though, especially when you consider that the pool near the beach and Johnny Wokkers in Port Nature charges 20 Euros per person for the day (falling to 10 or 12 later in the afternoon, certainly after 3pm possibly 4); we didn't try the pool at the Waikiki Beach.
