Restaurant L'ID Reviews and feedback

TonyT: On the penultimate evening of our holiday in Cap last week we settled on Restaurant L'ID next to Ghymnos in Heliopolis. This was a great success. We were given a lovely table in a tasteful environment. My partner decided on mussels for his starter and these were attractively presented. Fish soup for me, healthy and nourishing, ideal for a dull evening. My partner had the tuna steak for his main course with rice and salad and cooked carrots. (The carrots were delicious – how do they do them? It was as if they had been marinated in honey.) I had the prawns, eight or nine largish ones in a delicious creamy sauce stacked up on my plate with rice and salad. Wine by the bottle is expensive but a half litre pichet was both of good value (€5) and quality and a bottle of chilled water was complimentary. The service was both friendly and attentive throughout and despite what is maybe a competitive location, with it being next to Le Ghymnos, not many people have tried it yet; I hope they do, it deserves to survive based on the evidence of our single visit. No room for suites, our bill was €51, far less then we'd been prepared to pay for a
special "round off the holiday" dinner.
